mind expanding nonsense

Who Be Hansi?

Hansi at half domeHansi is a 71 (damn I’m gettin’ old) year old male who grew up in Los Angeles during the 50’s and early 60’s.  I went to 42nd Street School, Audubon, Dorsey and Lutheran High.  After college, where I hid out for 4 years as an art major to avoid the draft,  I spent 30 years in Corrections fighting crime and dealing with slime, dirt-bags and the scum of the earth.  I also had to supervise probation clients as part of the job.  I’m retired now and have plenty of time to share my art and thoughts.

In case you haven’t figured it out yet, this is a humor blog, and my intent is to do no harm, so don’t take any of this shit too seriously.  If anything herein makes you laugh; that’s good. If any thing makes you have a good belly laugh; that’s even better. If you’re rolling on the floor with snot shooting out your nose, and a bad case of flatulence: you probably need to subscribe to this blog and get it in you e-mail. Your e-mail is kept strictly confidential; no lists or stuff to sell.

I try to stay politically neutral, but will take shots at both sides when warranted. If anything here offends you. Close your eyes when reading it, for God’s sake; your a grown adult. Also, please feel free to make a comment. It’s the only way I can tell if people are reading this bullshit.

All the illustrations and drawings are my own work. [I didn’t let four years of college go to waste]. They are either pencil drawings or pen & Ink. Some are from my hallucinogenic archives; some drawn specifically for a certain post. My other blog, The Blithering Idiot, is my “drawing”  blog, and features mainly drawings and selections from my personal psychedelic journal, with little or no narrative.  A picture is indeed worth a thousand words.

Hansi, I’m impressed! You certainly brightened your little sisters day with your worldly thoughts and drawings. I will definitely tune in Knut and Daniel to check out your blog.

I like the line, room temperature IQ…..and is the superman drawing a self portrait? looks like you, Hansi

    • Thanks. Wish I could claim “room temperature I Q” as being original, but I picked that one up somewhere. Not to worry though; most of my readers have room temperature I Qs and wouldn’t know the difference anyway. Yep, the superman drawing was a self portrait. Drew it after I got back from The Gym, and was still pumped up.

  4. Hi Hansi
What an interesting life. Is the photo with all the Luthers yours? I’d like to use it in a post sometime and if allowed, I’d link give proper attribution and link.

If not, that’s okay, too. Lutheran are ornery. (If we weren’t we’d still be Roman Catholics).

    • The photo was 100 Luthers and taken by me in Wittenberg Square, Germany, when the wife and I went over for a family reunion last Fall. While in Wittenberg, he visited the church where he nailed his 95 thesis, and his tomb. That’s pretty much as Lutheran as you can get.

  5. I like your drawings. You are an interesting man.

  6. Just found you. Plan on being a regular visitor.

  7. hello hansi sir .. i’d love to invite you to a tribe ? that automatically retweets the members posts to their own group of followers, are you on twitter and can i send you an invite – cheers alan

    • Alan…thanks for the invite, but I’m not on Twitter. Guess I’m still in the stone age of computer madness.

  8. Thanks for all your comments today on my blog. You really encouraged me!
I lack confidence with my Art because of not understand my Aspergers/Dyslexia at school and how it affected my communication with everyone around me.
I am very grateful for your comments today and I will definitely be using more of my doodles to explain my posts. I think in pictures all the time. Writing poetry and plain old babbling is how I have coped up to now. Also I do a lot of painting, mixing the colours seem to help me some how.
Thank you so much for visiting my blog and commenting, you really made my day.
    Love and hugs.
    Lisa. xx 🙂

    • Thanks Lisa….I love to see other folks art work on their Blogs. When one is drawing or painting, they are predominantly using the right side of their brain, which is non-verbal and deals with a more intuitive knowing of relationships between forms etc. I don’t know much about Aspergers/Dyslexia, but my working with autistic children let me know that they are not stupid nor dumb. Your work will grow along with your confidence. Can’t wait to see what ya come up with 🙂
